Donald Eugene Borders Indicted for Murder
After postponing their decision in January, on Monday the grand jury indicted Donald Eugene Borders for the first murder of 79-year-old Margaret Tessneer.
Police charged Borders with Tessneer's 2003 death in December 2009.
On Jan. 11, Borders was indicted for first degree rape and felony breaking and entering.
Borders arrest sparked connections to other cases and quickly raised suspicions specifically about two other elderly women's deaths, Lottie Ledford, 85 and Lillian Mullinix, 87, which occurred within a few month time frame of Tessneer's death.
Borders remains behind bars under a $300,000 bond.
