Need Help With Your Tax Refunds?

One of the most dreaded days of the year is less than a month away.

Many of us scramble last-minute to prepare for the worst as we crunch and calculate our tax refunds. If you are not sure where to go you can stop at Cleveland Mall to the A.A.R.P. Tax Aide center for some free tax help.

According to Rich Coiner Volunteer at the center, the service started primarily for elderly that cant afford to have their taxes done by a professional, but recently they’ve expanded it to all ages as a service to the community.

Coiner said they’ve had over 300 applicants so far. If you’re looking for free tax preparation and counseling help, bring information, including your Social Security card, driver’s license, proof of income and details on last year’s taxes. They will be open weekdays through April 15th.

Shelby resident, Kenneth Ledford, admittedly inexperienced with computers, has entrusted the service for nearly four years. “I don’t have anything super hard to do...sort of short and sweet."
