NC on energy?
Cleveland County residents consume a lot of energy, especially in the summer months, and with the Duke Energy Cliffside plant under construction energy consumption will hit new standards.
According to nation-wide statistics, finding new sources of energy is more important to Americans now than reducing the amount of energy consumed. According to studies, only 31 percent of people believe reducing energy consumption is more important. However, 65 percent of Americans think investing in renewable energy sources like wind and solar is a better long-term investment than investing in fossil fuels like oil, gas and coal.
